The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is inviting applications for the Netaji Subhas - ICAR International Fellowships (NS-ICARIF) for the academic year 2025–26.

Instituted with the objective of developing international cooperation and human resource capacity in agriculture and allied sciences, these fellowships are awarded to meritorious overseas candidates to pursue Ph.D. studies in India at premier institutions within the ICAR-AU system (including State Agricultural Universities, ICAR-Deemed Universities, and Central Universities with agricultural faculties). The programme also serves to highlight the strengths of the Indian agricultural research and education system while nurturing global partnerships.

Each year, up to 30 fellowships are awarded under this scheme. Eligible candidates should possess a Master’s degree in agriculture or allied fields with a minimum OGPA of 6.60/10.0 or 65% marks, and be preferably below 35 years of age (or 40 years for in-service candidates) as of the application deadline. The duration of the fellowship is three years, and selection will be based on merit and alignment with priority research areas identified by ICAR.

The Embassy encourages eligible students, researchers, and faculty members who may be interested in advancing their academic pursuits in India. Link for guidelines regarding the fellowship scheme, including application procedures and institutional eligibility, is provided below. The last date for application is 31 July 2025. The completed application forms have to be submitted at [email protected].
